Never be so foolish as to fall for the enemy…
Special wolf agent Jillian Matthews has joined the jaguar-run United Shifter Force to track down a deadly criminal. She’s even willing to work with PI Vaughn Greystroke—until the hot, growly SEAL wolf makes the mistake of getting in her way. Naturally, she shoots him. Who could blame her?
Vaughn Greystroke has always worked alone. But when a string of attempted murders puts him in the crosshairs, teaming up with the Shifter Force begins to sound like a good idea. Even if he has to work with alluring—and potentially treacherous—Jillian Matthews. Vaughn is a trained SEAL, after all. He can surely keep his distance from Jillian…no matter how much she’s getting under his skin.
SEAL Wolf Series:

A SEAL Wolf for Christmas (Book 2)
SEAL Wolf Hunting (Book 3)
SEAL Wolf in Too Deep (Book 4)
SEAL Wolf Undercover (Book 5)
In A Very Jaguar Christmas, I first met Everett and Demetria. There, the jaguar shifters found out that they were not the only kind of shapeshifters. That was a bit of a shocker (LOL). Wolf shifters were among them. And in SEAL Wolf Undercover, we encounter Everett and Demetria again, if they team up with Jillian Matthews, a wolf shifter.
Jillian has sought the help of Everett and Demetria, because of the fact that her brother goes AWOL while his friend has been attacked and almost brutally murdered. Since Miles’ prints were all over Douglas, he is the prime suspect. But Jillian is sure that Miles is innocent. When some wolf is trying to catch her brother and potentially harm him, she doesn’t hesitate, but shoots him.
Vaughn is a wolf shifter PI, used to work alone. When he finds a shifter wolf on a crime scene, covered in blood, he goes after him. Surprisingly, he gets shot by a female wolf during his chase.
And the bigger surprise is that this female is no other than the special agent Jillian, who he is supposed to work with. But with her relationship to his suspect, their working together isn’t going over smoothly. Combined with the fact that they both are having trouble to resist their mutual attraction, the banter and discussion between Jillian and Vaughn is hilarious.
Will they be able to find the attacker and unravel why Miles fled the scene? Is Miles one of the bad guys, or did Jillian rightfully defend her brother? And can Everett and Demetria help with the catty smell all over the place?
A funny, light read with some old friends and some new shifters. In all a great story. So four out of five stars from me. And a thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
