Dreaming of a White Wolf Christmas

My review

This was my fourth Heart of the Wolf story from Terry Spear. While I was lounging on the beach during my vacation I read this delightful Christmas story. Speaking of contrasts, this story was definitely a lot different than SEAL Wolf Undercover. It more had the feel of A Very Jaguar Christmas. And even Demetria and Everett are starring in this story, so it is nice to meet them again. The story is not about them though. But it is about the wolf cub they had found. This cub, Cody, has grown since then, but he is still a bit of a drifter. And now he was wandering through a campside where Candice Mayfair is camping with some friends. After feeding the cute little puppy, she accidently gets bitten by him. And then suddenly she finds herself shedding fur and changing in and out of a wolf.
Scared out of her mind, she quits her job and starts to live as a recluse in the woods. Fortunately she can earn her living with the romance books she was already writing. And what way to better tell stories, then to use your own experiences?
So Candice starts to write about Artic White Wolf Shifters…

When her parents leave her a large amount of money in their testament, Candice’s uncle hires private investigator Owen Nottingham to track down his niece. Little did he know that Owen is a Artic White Wolf himself. So you can image the shock when Owen appears on Candice’s doorstep and they ‘smell’ each other.
Candice is shocked to discover she is not the only one and Owen is delighted to find a female shifter. The only other female shifter in his pack is already happily married, so he had no reason to believe he would ever find a mate. However, there are more males in his pack and so he has to convince Candice to come and live with them. And, preferably with him.

As usual, Terry’s books are warm and cosy. Even sitting on the beach, I felt the longing for the hot cocoa and the christmas tree. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
