SHE’S ALL THE WOLF HE’LL EVER NEED…
When SWAT Officer Max Lowry meets Lana Mason, he falls fast and hard. He’s positive she’s The One. And Max’s favorite part? Lana’s a wolf shifter too, so they can skip the awkward reveal and head straight to the happily ever after. There’s just one problem: Lana doesn’t know that she’s a werewolf.
To make matters worse, hunters with intent to kill have tracked Lana to Dallas. Max has to figure out how to keep Lana safe, show her who and what she really is—and just how much she means to him.
I confess: I’m highly addicted to Paige Tyler’s yummie werewolves. So when Wolf Hunger was available on Netgalley, I just needed my hot alpha male fix… And this book was about Max, one of my favorite guys. How totally cool. And the most fun part: when he realizes that Lana doesn’t know she is a shifter. So now all of the guys are giving advice on how to tell Lana she’s a shifter. Xander, Cooper, Gage and of course Brooks all offer totally useless advice… Well, it serves him well after all his big talk in the previous books!
It is great to meet back the other guys as well as the story of Max growing up. Paige does an outstanding job in addressing a serious issue as child abuse in this book. And, while having experienced the fists of his father from up close and personal, you can also relate to the frustration Max feels when he tries to rescue an abused family and they deny the hitting. It is very sad to realize that this is something happening in every day live as well and you feel heartbroken for Max.
On the other hand, you can laugh at the antics of the squad while being on training sessions and while they rile each other during missions. And you fall in love with Lana who feels frustrated by being handled like a little girl by her father. What has chief Mason have to hide for his daughter? And why won’t he allow Lana and Max to date? Find out more in this wonderful story in Wolf Hunger. Five out of five stars from me. Looking forward to the next part in the series. With a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
