My review

OMG, A.M. Brooks is on a roll! Barely a month after SCAR, I found an arc for Warrior. Yet another standalone from AM Brooks, however it is part of the Salvation Society series. As usual, AM takes us on an emotional journey. We meet Colt and Lyric as little children, who become best friends, when being thrown together over hardships. And over time, they turn into more. But while they are planning to start a life together at a university, Colt makes a life altering decision and vanishes from Lyric’s life.

Eight years later, their paths cross again. And although Lyric has build up a life of her own, she can’t help but still have feelings for Colt. But she doesn’t trust him, total k out of her life again. So, she keeps him at a distance. But then she get threatened. And Colt vows to keep her safe. Thrown together, old feelings resurface. But it also brings the hurt and lies of their breakup back to their relationship.

Can they overcome their past? And will Colt be able to keep Lyric safe? Find out for yourself in this romantic rollercoaster. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
